I loved this story. I hope you write more soon.
One thing I really liked about this is that it made the magick in it seem... well, more realistic. It was less Harry Potter and more Kim Harrison (I don't know if you've ever read her, but the way Cat crafts her spells reminded me of the way witches make theirs in Harrison's books). Instead of people in ancient castles wearing robes, holding a twig, and saying latin-based "magic words", it seemed to have more roots in reality. I liked the way you combined fantasy concepts like were-animals, vampires, and magick with realistic themes like trucks and motorcycles and motels, and how some of the ingridients were real things like sandlewood and obsidian.
I really liked this story.
Author's Response: *grin* Yah, I'm rather fond of how my system for Magic turned out in this Fic as well... I pulled a lot of roots of it from 'New Age' stuff as well as mythology and history and then just added my own 'True Magic' kinda flashyness. The result is pretty cool and 'feels right'. I'm actually rather proud of it... Now if only I could work on this one more! : / But, yah. Thanks for the review, too! ^.^
